In a small pot, melt the butter, brown sugar and corn syrup. Stir together until sugar is completely melted.

Pour into a 9 x 13-inch baking dish that is sprayed with non-stick cooking spray or divide evenly into ramekin about tablespoon into each dish.

In a mixing bowl beat eggs, then add half-and-half, milk, vanilla, sugar, salt, and Cointreau.

Add cubed bread and toss. Pour into baking dish or scoop into ramekins up to breaking line of the dish.

Let stand at least 1 hour before baking or cover and refrigerate overnight.

If you refrigerate overnight let the dish stand at room temperature for 20 minutes before place in the oven.

Preheat oven at 350°. Bake 30 – 40 minutes until French toast is golden and puffed. Remove from oven and let stand 3-5 minutes to settle.

To serve, cut into equal pieces and flip onto the plate so that the brown sugar is on top or turn the ramekins onto serving plate, scrap any remaining brown sugar topping onto French toast.

Top with drunken strawberries.
